Kendall Moriarty
Birth Doula & Postpartum Doula
Childbirth Educator

Hi, I am Kendall. As your doula I will guide you to strike a balance where you trust your health providers but most importantly trust yourself to make the best decisions. I help you do this by providing evidence based information, working with you and your birth partner on coping techniques, and creating a nonjudgmental space to ask questions, vent, and visualize.

While in Haiti for a year, I ran retrospective descriptive statistical analysis on birth weights, hemorrhaging, tearing, and documented previous abortions among mothers who gave birth at Mama Baby Haiti clinic. I shadowed midwives on births and prenatal visits.

I am also a mom,  East Coast transplant to the Bay Area, and an avid reader and runner. I have felt called to this work for some time, and in addition to training as a birth and postpartum doula, I have a Masters in Public Health. At the birth of my daughter, I had a birth doula that helped me feel safe, supported, and seen, and I wish to pass that feeling and support on to all the folks I work with.

Brette Howard
Birth Doula

Brette is currently certifying to be a Birth Doula with Carriage House Birth, based in New York, and is very honored to be in Apprenticeship with Jennifer Darwin of Golden Gate Doula Associates. Nothing thrills her more than to think of how many dynamic families and people she can support and uplift through informed consent. She comes to this work with the following tenets:

1) ALL birthing people and family structures deserve to be witnessed, empowered and supported in every decision during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.

2) Birth partners also need clarity, confidence , and comfort.

(3) To illuminate communication is to create a healthy foundation for your birthing team and newborn.

Born at home on the plains of Montana and raised on the Salish Sea of Seattle Sound, Brette has called the hills, valleys, and rivers of California home for almost 20 years and have a deep connection to community and service in the Bay Area. Brette, her husband and daughter, call San Francisco's (Ohlone Land) Mission District home, and in her free time she can be found listening to music, making playlists, taking photos and camping/hiking any chance they can get. Brette has a deep connection to different earth based skills, storytelling, cosmology and divine timing. As a family, they are working hard to become fluent in Spanish. Brette is in relationship with the land + community as a student of Beekeeping, Birding, and Mycology.

Ke'xia Draper
 Birth & Postpartum Doula
Childbirth Educator

Hello! and greetings! My name is Ke’xia (kuh-see-ya) Draper and I was born and raised in San Francisco. I am a mother of two, ages 3 and 1.  Having experienced the birth of my children, furthered my compassion and understanding of the importance of being involved in such a sacred time.

Throughout my life, I have been on a quest to know which type of service that I had a passion for. From wanting to be a veterinarian to going to college to study Nursing, I finally found what I love; being a doula/birth keeper! I have had the pleasure of servicing birthing parents since 2020. I was trained, lovingly, with Cornerstone Doula Services as a full spectrum doula. In future years, my goal is to become a midwife, either traditional or CNM.

As practicing as a doula/birth keeper, I have grown to honor this miraculous time while empowering parents to own every moment of their experience. I’ve also understood the importance to advocate women on every aspect (spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional) by supporting your decision to create the birth of your choice. It will be my pleasure to accompany you through this time!

Alana Corrin
 Birth & Postpartum Doula
Childbirth Educator

Alana always knew she wanted to work one-on-one with people in a meaningful profession that would help support and empower them. After taking college courses in fetal and infant motor development and women's health and reproductive rights, her interests in birth began to develop. She was introduced to doula work after being a nanny for 11 years and working for a number of women who had had traumatic birth experiences. Hearing their stories motivated and inspired her to want to learn everything about birth.

Alana finds herself captivated by birth and the amazing things of which our bodies are capable of. Having a science and physical therapy background, she loves the anatomy and physiology side, but feels drawn to the mental and emotional side as well. Alana has a desire to help and be of service and feels that nurturing comes naturally to her. Birth work is a perfect combination of everything that fascinates her and she feels inherently meant to do so.

In her free time you can find Alana on a hike or exploring new destinations in nature, inventing new recipes in the kitchen, getting sunburned at the beach and floating in the waves, re-watching her favorite rom coms, traveling to new places, cuddling with her cat, or skateboarding at a local skate park.
