Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Educator
Leah was born and raised in the city of San Francisco. She was raised by a registered nurse and a community psychiatrist in an old Victorian house, on the top of a hill. It was a family where helping others seek wellness was modeled.
As a postpartum doula, Leah brings her creative thinking and wealth of education to her practice. Her intuitive abilities, her training as a Postpartum Doula, and her certification as a Lactation Educator are only a snapshot of what she brings to support parents during the delicate postpartum period. Leah prides herself on providing healthy meals for her clients in the postpartum period and can help create a menu tailored to your preferences using foods designed to provide the nutrition needed in your recovery.
Leah enjoys helping new parents navigate the unpredictable transition into parenthood by helping establish healthy eating and sleeping habits not only for the baby, but the parent(s) as well!
Leah has a BFA from Parson’s School of Art and Design in New York City and lived in Brooklyn for 25 years while raising two children. She returned from Brooklyn to San Francisco and in essence is now following her family’s path with her work as a postpartum doula.
When not working, Leah is a mixed-media visual artist and aunt to an overactive dog, Ollie. Leah also enjoys sunny days on the beach, and evenings listening to funky live music.

We were able to connect with Leah very quickly, last minute while at the hospital, through Golden Gate Doula Association. Leah was extremely helpful in our first days back from the hospital, showed me various breastfeeding poses and other tricks, rearranged our living space to be more baby friendly, and concocted delicious snack plates. Working with Leah also allows my husband to run errands and gave me peace of mind to not be alone in our baby's early days.

Leah was a wonderful postpartum doula. She was a welcome and supportive presence in our home in the early weeks of our second daughter’s life. She was emotionally supportive as well as help with things we needed, like cooking healthy dinners and snacks, in addition to helping with physical postpartum recovery by preparing herbal sitz baths and ensuring I got plenty of rest. Leah encouraged me to nap when she visited and set up the space and wrangled out houseguests to make to make this possible, which was super helpful. She gave advice about handling two children. She was able to provide even more support by gently pushing my parents and husband to help support my recovery and showing them the best way to do this. Would highly recommend her as a postpartum doula!
